COVID-19 Pandemic
Photos taken during, and inspired by, the pandemic.
I began taking this series of photos on March 27, 2020. Governor Scott's Stay Home Stay Safe order had been recently released and I was walking outside for exercise. I was struck at the absence of life in downtown Burlington, VT. The empty spaces where normally people would congregate, shop, recreate, even park. I knew from day one that this would be a long running series of photos.
Photographs in this gallery are sorted so that the most recent ones are on top. If this is your first time here, you may want to go to the last page and scroll all the way to the bottom so you can start at the beginning.

Creemees on the Boardwalk
Many folks had creemees. Some had brought down a pizza or takeout Chinese to enjoy a sunset picnic. Many groups were arranged on the green behind the boardwalk, all making an effort to be distant. You could tell some were from multiple households by how they arranged their blankets to be close enough to talk, but still physically separate.
