COVID-19 Pandemic
I began taking this series of photos on March 27, 2020. Governor Scott's Stay Home Stay Safe order had been recently released and I was walking outside for exercise. I was struck at the absence of life in downtown Burlington, VT. The empty spaces where normally people would congregate, shop, recreate, even park. I knew from day one that this would be a long running series of photos.

Tables going out
Restaurants can open tomorrow for outdoor seating, tables 10 feet apart. It's definitely going to be a challenge for restaurants, but I'm happy that that they can open in some capacity for Memorial Day weekend.

Pizza by the slice
Looks like the patio has about a third of the normal capacity. All tables were filled at 2:45, though.

Foodbank
The foodbank (supported by BPD and the VT National Guard) organized a food pickup on the beltline today. I heard there were lots of cars in line this morning, but at 12:54 PM, there was but a trickle of cars leaving the pickup area.
Be Kind
Even the local signs have included basic sanitation advice.
